Connecting Worldwide: Morocco

Thousands of people call Morocco using Bluee every day and we know so little about this diverse and stunning country. So we’ve decided to do a little research and share it with you in the scope of our new blog series “Connecting Worldwide”.

First of all, Morocco is fascinating!

It is one of the most diverse countries in Africa, with majestic places, delicious cuisine and striking natural landscapes.  Its culture is a mixture of Arab, Berber, European and African influences.

Marrakesh, Fez, Rabat and Meknes are big cities of Morocco. Palaces, churches, museums and mosques in these cites give a glimpse into Morocco’s history.

Moroccan people are among the most hospitable people in the world. They are warm, open and make fast friends with everyone. It is not unlikely to receive an invitation to their home just moments after you meet them.

Lonely Planet has perfectly described Moroccan Activities:

“Meeting the Moroccan people involves nothing more than sitting in a cafe and waiting for your mint tea to brew. The trick is to leave enough time to watch the world go by with the locals when there’s so much else to fit in: hiking up North Africa’s highest peak, learning to roll couscous, camel trekking, shopping in the souqs, getting lost in the medina, and sweating in the hammam. Between the activities, you can sleep in the famous riads, relax on panoramic terraces and grand squares, and mop up tajines flavoured with saffron and argan.”
